On June 27 in a double ring ceremony in Saint Luke's Episcopal Church, Washington, D.C., Janice Aurelia Booker was married to Joseph Daniel Clipper by the Rev. J. Shelton Pollen.Their parents are Mrs. William H. Green of Tryon, N.C. and the late Boyce Jason Booker and Mrs. Viola E. Clipper of Washington, D.C. and the late Rev. Herman S. Clipper.

Escorted by her brother, Jackie Robinson Booker, Irvine, Cal., the bride was lovely in a full length gown of white organza appliqued with alencon and bristol laces, complemented by a mobey pearl pendant necklace surrounded by diamonds with matching earrings -- the grooms gift to his bride. Janet Dewart Clipper was matron of honor; Jacqueline K. Bryan, Peggy Simpson, Verna L. Stokes, Betty Anne Williams, and Kathy J. Jackson, were bridesmaids; Venus Jewel Jackson, flower girl; Houston Parker, best man; Milton Clipper Jr., Anderson Clipper, Donald Wills, Ulysses Little, and James H. Williams, the ushers; Master Damon Hudson, ring bearer.

A reception was held at The Last Hurrah with music by The Gentlemen of Sound.

Mrs. Clipper is in a senior community development position at the Office of the U.S Comptroller of the Currency. Mr. Clipper, an internationally known portrait photographer, is president of Clipper Associates, Inc. They are making their home in Washington, D.C. following a wedding trip to Mexico.
