With a lot of help from "Hill Street Blues" and "Fame" . . . NBC yesterday received a total of 90 nominations, more than any other network, for the 34th annual prime-time Emmy awards. . .

CBS, the top-rated network, had 83 . . . ABC got 70, PBS 29 (including 11 for "Brideshead Revisited") while 13 nominations went to syndicated programs. . .

For the second year in a row, "Hill Street Blues" received a record 21 nominations, while "Fame" picked up 12 after its first year on the air. . .

For the first time ever, all five nominees in the "supporting actor, drama series" category came from a single program . . . "Hill Street Blues" cast members Taurean Blacque, Michael Conrad, Charles Haid, Michael Warren and Bruce Weitz. . .

"Taxi," which is due to appear this fall on NBC after being canceled by ABC in the spring, earned four nominations for ABC. . .

The Emmy award show will be seen live on ABC the night of Sept. 19 from Pasadena, Calif. . . .
