David Bohrman has been named senior producer for "ABC World News Tonight" in Los Angeles. . .

He replaces Steve Skinner, who was recently named senior producer for "World News Tonight" in Washington. . .

Bohrman had been a senior producer for "Nightline" in New York. . .

A Mill Valley, Calif., family has discovered that when Samantha, their Siamese cat, is put on top of the television set, they can get a good signal from Channel 2 in San Francisco. . .

Samantha, who obviously knows where the Meow Mix is coming from, goes along with the nightly request (the family likes to see the "M*A*S*H" reruns on Channel 2) and doesn't leave her perch until the power is turned off. . .

And if that cat item didn't rivet you to your breakfast nooks this morning, TV Column fans . . . let's move to that weird report from NBC that Drew Barrymore . . . the 7-year-old star of "E.T." . . . will be staying up way past her bedtime Nov. 20 to host "Saturday Night Live." (You've got to admit that at least the cat item was kind of wholesome. Phone home, NBC!) . . .

That network, by the by, starts reruns of "Facts of Life" on its daytime schedule Dec. 13 . . . replacing "Diff'rent Strokes" reruns at 10 a.m. . . .

CBS News, whose president is the bearded Van Gordon Sauter, has made "Nightwatch" co-anchor Christopher Glenn shave off his 5-year-old set of whiskers. . .

Pierson G. Mapes has been named president of the NBC television network. . .

WDVM's "Morning Break" anchor Carol Randolph has been named chairman of the Capital Press Club's scholarship committee. . .

Which reminds us . . . since proceeds from the banquet go to the scholarship fund . . . there are still tickets available for the Capital Press Club's 38th annual awards dinner . . . which will be held Saturday night at the Shorham.
