Danny Wright, the afternoon disc jockey for the last six months at WRQX-FM (107.3), has been terminated. Apparently his sound was too young and too kinetic for the station, which is aiming for older Yuppie listeners. "Something has been brewing for a while. To Danny's credit, he didn't feel like going through the fall rating period," said Alan Burns, Q-107's program director. "I felt he was talking too much, and he didn't feel he was doing what he wanted to do. He is a tremendously talented fellow." Shadow Smith is now doing the afternoon drive.

Bob Anthony, the host of "Crosstalk" on WDCU-FM (90.1), has left the station after 2 1/2 years. This time around his six-month appointment was not renewed, Anthony said. Ernest White and John Jackson will share the anchor duties of the weekday show at 12:15 . . . At all-gospel WUST-AM (1120), Donna Hopkins will take over this Sunday as host of the station's traditional mornings of live church services and local gospel performances . . . Ron Eisenberg, formerly of all-talk WRC, has joined WCAU-AM in Philadelphia . . . Mary Ann Nichols, an alumnus of the weekend shift at WGMS-FM (103.5), is now at WCRB in Boston.
