And for the holiday season, the Kennedy Center will be pro KING FREEBIES THE 'MESSIAH' SING-ALONG -- Handel's "Messiah," performed by the Paul Hill Chorale and 2,750 members of the audience is among the most sought-after holiday freebies in town. Unfortunately, tickets to the annual extravaganza have all been given away. Nevertheless, a good percentage of ticket-holders are guaranteed not to show up. The good folks at the Kennedy Center will allow ticketless patrons to fill the empty seats shortly before the concert. Lines for last-minute hopefuls start in the afternoon; the singing gets under way at 8:30, Dec. 23, in the Concert Hall.$5WMAL'S RISTMAS AT THE KENNEDY CENTER -- Live radio broadcast with Tom Gauger and other WMAL personalities presenting five hours of music by the Montgomery County Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Chantilly High School Band, the Bethesda School of the Performing Arts and a Scottish pipe and drum corps, among others. A carol sing-along climaxes the broadcast. No tickets are required and audience-members are encouraged to come and go as they please. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 24 in the Concert Hall.
