In a ballot of the London fashion industry to find this year's most elegant man, Prince Charles was labeled a boring dresser and received only one vote.

"It is not that he actually dresses badly; it is that his clothes are dull, boring and much too safe," the Menswear Association concluded. A bodyguard for British singing duo Wham! was arrested Sunday in Los Angeles on assault charges. Wham! members George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley were boarding a plane for Oakland, where they were to play a concert, when photographer David Elkouby climbed an escalator to take their picture. Elkouby said that bodyguard Peter Gauchi grabbed him and put him in a headlock and that he feared the guard would throw him down the stairs. Police booked Gauchi for investigation of misdemeanor battery, then released him on his own recognizance . . .
