You too can see Charles and Diana about town this weekend -- but believe us, it won't be easy.
Special accommodations for the general public to see Their Royal Highnesses have been made at the following events:
*Sunday, 9 a.m.: Washington Cathedral. Doors will open at 9 for a 10 a.m. service to be attended by Charles and Diana. Nearly 2,000 seats will be available.
*Monday, 10 a.m.: J.C. Penney at Springfield Mall. Charles and Diana will tour the store, and there will be a roped-off area in the front of the parking lot. Penney's will hand out 5,000 red and blue balloons "to generate excitement." TRH are expected to greet the crowd, either on the way in or out of the store. Store officials advise coming early to get a good spot.
*4 p.m.: Arlington National Cemetery. TRH will lay a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Cemetery officials say that there will space for about 400 viewers. However, President Reagan will be at the cemetery earlier, for Veterans Day, so visiters are advised to show up early.
Other points where you may be able to catch a glimpse of royalty include:
