Christmas is a time for making house calls, so why not check out a few of the places receiving visitors this weekend:
* The eighth annual Logan Circle House Tour, "A Victorian Christmas," includes nine historic houses and a holiday bazaar of handmade decorations. The walking tour, from 1 to 5 this Sunday, starts from Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 1308 Vermont Avenue NW. Tickets are $10. 667-2244.
* Morven Park, a 32-room mansion in Leesburg, is also sporting a Victorian Christmas motif. It will be open Friday through Sunday noon to 5, and refreshments will be served. Tickets are $4, $2 for children 6 to 12. The mansion is on the Old Waterford Road. 703/777-2414.
* The St. Albans School Mothers Club hosts a Christmas tour Friday and Saturday of five spacious family homes in Maryland and the District, each decorated by a local florist. Tours begin at the school, which is at Wisconsin and Massachusetts avenues NW. Tickets are $12 and include bus service. On both days, lunch will be served in the school's refectory from 11:30 to 2 for $6.50, and complimentary tea will be served from 3 to 4:30. 667-9246.
* The Montgomery County Historical Society welcomes visitors to historic Beall- Dawson House with madrigal singers and candles this Sunday from 2 to 6. The tours are free; the 1815 Federal brick building is at 103 West Montgomery Avenue in Rockville. 762-1492.
