It looks as if there will be two Kennedy weddings this year, one bigger than the other. "CBS Morning News" anchor Maria Shriver, 29, and her intended Arnold (Conan the Barbarian) Schwarzenegger, 38, were in Hyannis Port, Mass., over the weekend to meet with a priest and plan their Cape Cod wedding scheduled for April 26. There are reports that several media, Hollywood and political celebrities have already been reserving hotel rooms for the glittery affair, which is expected to draw about 500 guests to see the daughter of Sargent and Eunice Shriver marry the gentle-mannered body builder.
An even bigger wedding celebration is in the works for the summer, when Shriver's cousin, 28-year-old Caroline Kennedy, marries Edwin Schlossberg, 41. There is some consideration that Caroline might also hold her wedding in either Hyannis Port or in the Newport, R.I., church where her parents, John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Bouvier, were married. An exact date has yet to be announced. Kennedy and Schlossberg were at a Boston fundraiser Friday for uncle Sen. Edward Kennedy's 1988 reelection campaign. The senator was back in Washington for Saturday's Gridiron dinner and Sunday was seen leaving the emergency room at Georgetown University Hospital. The hospital would only confirm he had been there for a brief treatment and a spokesman for the senator said his office would have no comment on it.
