Georgia state Sen. Julian Bond was in town yesterday for a fundraiser at the Logan Circle home of Robert and Doll Gordon and a speech later in the day at Catholic University, where he was to speak on civil rights, past, present and future. Bond is running for the House seat being vacated by Rep. Wyche Fowler, who is running for the U.S. Senate . . .
Entertainer Rudy Vallee remains in fair condition in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after undergoing throat surgery last week. His wife said no further information on the 85-year-old entertainer would be released at this time . . .
Young aspiring actresses know better, but they still seem to pose for provocative photographs in their youth, ignoring the fact that those pictures have a way of showing up years later when the now-star hopes they are lost forever. A magazine published in Rockville called Celebrity Sleuth is hard at work seeing to it that any lost photograph is found and printed. In the second issue of the magazine there are several stars in various forms of undress, including Sally Field, Tuesday Weld, Tina Louise, Paula Prentiss and, would you believe, ex-Mouseketeer Doreen Tracy and "Star Trek's" Nichelle (Uhura) Nichols? The magazine also includes photographs of Barbi Benton, but since she has shown much more in the pages of Playboy magazine, it hardly seems necessary to include her. Squeaky-clean Phyllis George is included, but don't expect anything revealing. She isn't nude in any of them. In one she wears what can be described as a sexy blouse . . .
