Blepharoplasty (eye lift); up 31 percent, from 56,500 to 73,900; $600-$4,000.

Rhinoplasty (nose job); up 29 percent, from 54,500 to 70,500; $1,000-$4,500.

Rhytidectomy (face lift); up 39 percent, from 39,000 to 54,400; $1,500-$8,000.

Suction-assisted lipectomy (fat suction); 55,900 procedures on various parts of the body -- thigh, buttocks, abdomen, face -- in 1984; no figures for 1981; $300-$4,000.

Dermabrasion (skin sanding to remove wrinkles); up 38 percent; $250-$2,500.

Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck); up 37 percent; $1,500-$5,000.
