Texas socialite and Washington art dealer Lacey Neuhaus was married Saturday in Georgetown's Renwick Chapel to Texas oil man Dale Forester Dorn. One of Neuhaus' former suitors, Sen. John Warner, was at both the wedding and the reception that followed at the Phillips Collection, but her one-time steady date Sen. Edward Kennedy was unable to attend because he was hosting a luncheon in Boston for the Italian prime minister. Warner and Kennedy are still good friends of Neuhaus, and both were at her 40th birthday party this summer.

The tawny-haired Neuhaus, who is a former actress and Ford model, operates the Neuhaus Collection in Georgetown. The wedding reception had a seasonal theme, with a turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce at each table. There was even Christmas caroling, with each table being assigned one of the 12 days of Christmas. The couple is honeymooning in the Caribbean and will conduct a commuting marriage between San Antonio and Washington.

Out and About The dynamic contra duo, Lt. Col Oliver North and retired admiral John Poindexter, may not get invited to many of the big parties in town anymore, but they were guests last week at a Christmas party hosted by Vice President George Bush. The vice president and his wife Barbara generally hold several Christmas gatherings each year, to which they invite members of the administration, news media, Supreme Court, Congress, their staffs, family and friends. They had about 1,000 in for holiday cheer Dec. 15, and North and Poindexter, who also attended festivities last year, were at the party. Steve Hart, Bush's acting press secretary, said, "They are among the people routinely invited. {Bush has} had a long-term relationship with both men and ... he won't exclude them because they're down" ...

After weeks of speculation around town that all was not blissful in Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke's marriage to 31-year-old Suzanne Martin, it can now be told: The marriage is apparently over. A Warrenton, Va., court clerk has confirmed that the 75-year-old Cooke has filed papers to divorce his pregnant wife, whom he married quietly in Alexandria late in July. The baby is due in January. Helen Zalecki, Fauquier County deputy clerk of court, told the Associated Press that the petition was filed in October and the papers have been sealed at the request of both parties. Martin, who is Cooke's third wife, is living in the Watergate and was unavailable for comment. Cooke, who is at his Middleburg estate, was also not available for comment ...

Filmmaker Woody Allen is a father for the first time. His longtime companion and leading lady Mia Farrow gave birth Saturday to a 9-pound 4-ounce boy, who was given the unusual name Satchel. Allen reportedly said there is one problem: "The baby looks like Edward G. Robinson." It is Farrow's fourth natural child. She also has five adopted children. Allen is a well-known jazz buff, and friends are speculating that the child's name is a tribute to the late jazz great Louis (Satchmo) Armstrong, whose nickname was a shortened version of "Satchel Mouth." Allen's spokeswoman said she didn't think that was where the name came from, but she offered nothing to clear things up. There is also speculation that Allen named his son for the late baseball Hall of Famer Satchel Paige ...

They can be tough on reporters in London. The British Broadcasting Corp. apologized Monday for an unprecedented leak of Queen Elizabeth's prerecorded Christmas message and said the royal reporter who was responsible would be transferred to another job. It was not revealed where the reporter will be assigned next. There undoubtedly is no punishment severe enough for such a breach of royal protocol ...
