Save the environment or help one person with a selection from the Alternative Gift Markets Inc. catalogue. An ecumenical group that funnels money to groups in the U.S. and abroad, AGMI offers cards inscribed with the name of the benefiting relief or rehabilitation project. With the card, the recipients will know which project you've donated to in their honor.

All projects are monitored by church groups. AGMI uses none of the funds earmarked for projects for administrative costs. Overhead is raised separately through donations. Catalogues and information, 1-800-842-2243.
