In the R&B trio's first tour in five years, TLC is slated to play MCI Center on Nov. 14. Destiny's Child will serve as opening act, and MTV News reports that teen pop sensation Christina Aguilera may be on board as well. At a press conference announcing the tour, TLC talked about a deal the trio has struck with MP3.com: The site will make the unreleased TLC track "I Need That" available free, and will donate 10 cents per download to the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America. The group hopes to move a million downloads by Oct. 1 and send $100,000 to the organization. TLC's T-Boz, who has been diagnosed with sickle cell, chose the charity . . .
VH1 has lined up artists including B.B. King, Eric Clapton and Garth Brooks to perform at a charity concert in Washington next month. The Concert of the Century for VH1 Save the Music will be broadcast live Oct. 23 from a venue yet to be determined. Save the Music benefits music programs at schools across America . . .
Rapper Eminem is laughing off his mom's defamation lawsuit against him, saying she's not getting one red cent. Debbie Mathers-Briggs is suing her demon seed, 26, in a Michigan court because he bad-mouthed her on talk shows and in magazines, says her lawyer. Eminem--a k a Marshall Bruce Mathers III--has claimed his mom was a drug user and mentally unstable. He told Spin: "We were on welfare and my mother never, ever worked." For those and other nasty comments, she wants the little ingrate to cough up $10 million.
