The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historic Park celebrates the 150th anniversary of the canal in the year 2000. The Latino Civil Rights Center in Adams-Morgan is holding a Holiday Food Drive through Dec. 20 for low income families. Donations of canned goods and other nonperishable food should be brought to the group's office at 2701 Ontario Rd. NW, second floor.
