Norah Jones has announced dates for a North American tour that will take her to her biggest concert halls yet. It will start Aug. 12 in Antioch, Tenn., and continue through November. The multi-platinum-selling singer is scheduled to perform Aug. 20 at Merriweather Post Pavilion . . . Contrary to last week's report from the Associated Press, country singer Willie Nelson did not cancel two months of concert dates to undergo surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. Nelson's publicist says doctors advised the singer to postpone the dates so he could rest and avoid surgery . . . Jill Scott, the Philadelphia singer-songwriter-poet whose 2000 debut CD became a sensation, has finally readied a follow-up studio effort. "Beautifully Human, Words and Sounds, Vol. 2" is due Aug. 31 . . . Green Day's first album in four years, tentatively set for a September release, will be titled "American Idiot," a spokesman told Billboard.com. The trio is also expected to lend a track to "Rock Against Bush Vol. 2," a politically minded compilation album due in August that is to include tracks by No Doubt, Foo Fighters and Bad Religion, among others.
