Tori's Backdrop Again Beverly Hills
Tori Spelling, 31, who as squeaky-clean "Beverly Hills, 90210" star Donna Martin married high school sweetheart David Silver in the series finale, wed 34-year-old actor-writer Charlie Shanian on Saturday, according to Hello! magazine.
The wedding, held at dad Aaron Spelling's sprawling Beverly Hills estate, came two years after the couple met when they appeared together in the aptly titled two-person play "Maybe, Baby It's You." The two got engaged in November.
It was somewhat of a "90210" reunion, with alumni Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering and Tiffani Thiessen in attendance. But absent were Shannen Doherty, Gabrielle Carteris and Luke Perry.
Bush vs. Bike, Part 2
A day before his 58th birthday, President Bush spent yesterday riding his mountain bike on the grounds of a Secret Service training facility in Beltsville, faring better than he did on his last bicycle outing.
You'll remember: In May, Bush suffered cuts and bruises after taking a spill when biking at his ranch in Crawford, Tex. Yesterday, he rode his bike for nearly 1 1/2 hours as security personnel trailed him in all-terrain vehicles.
As for the latest ride, the press corps couldn't view it because they were kept in vans on a steamy parking lot as Bush cycled.
Paul Newman, attempting to go from actor to race car driver Saturday, had problems switching gears. Driving a Corvette in the American GT Challenge in Salisbury, Conn., Newman, 79, was in the top three for about two-thirds of the race before he was forced out with 15 minutes left. "We lost the gearbox, and I started sliding around out there," the Oscar winner said. "I was having a good time up until that point" . . .
More than just acting in love: Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, who played a couple in love in the Showtime series "Soul Food," are now engaged to be married, according to their publicist. Kodjoe, 31, proposed to Parker, 33, in his hometown of Freiburg, Germany, on June 20, publicist Alejandra Cristina said. They plan to marry next spring. . . .
"Baywatch" star David Hasselhoff will appear in the London stage production of the hit musical "Chicago." "This is not about making money," said the 51-year-old Hasselhoff, who will play lawyer Billy Flynn at the Adelphi Theatre. "This is about following my heart, challenging myself and having fun."
