Gwen Stefani's husband and Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale announced last week that DNA tests have confirmed that his goddaughter, 15-year-old London model Daisy Lowe, is in fact his biological daughter, according to this week's People magazine. The mom, Rossdale's longtime friend Pearl Lowe, reportedly decided to get the DNA tests to clarify Daisy's pedigree before she turned 16. "Yes, it is true," Rossdale, 37, said in a statement. "Out of respect to all concerned, I have no further comment." Stefani, who wed Rossdale in 2002, is said to be "devastated" by the news . . .
Ashlee Simpson, making light of the media hoopla over her "Saturday Night Live" lip-sync fiasco, told MTV.com yesterday: "It's so silly that everybody's concerned about this one performance when there's so much going on in the world. We have an election, there's people dying -- and people are concerned if I can sing or not. You hear me sing on my reality show [MTV's "Ashlee Simpson Show"] every day."
