About the Authors
Hundreds of KidsPost readers entered our mystery writing contest this summer. Some entries were spooky, some were funny, all were incredibly creative. Each week it got harder to choose whose to publish. Here are the eight authors whose work we chose in the order their episodes were published. Thanks to everyone who wrote. You made it a very mysterious, memorable, magnificent summer.
Grant Hoechst, 9, likes music, drama and reading mysteries. He lives in Great Falls with his mom, dad, younger sister and two parrots.
Madelyn Paquette, 10, plays the piano and soccer. She lives in McLean with her mom, dad, younger sister and Shih Tzu dog named Shang.
Nicholas Taylor, 9, just moved from New Market, Maryland, to Florida with his mom, dad and two younger brothers. He loves art, soccer and building things.
Hayley Flynn, 12, loves to read and write and play the flute, basketball and tennis. She lives in Burke with her mom, dad, younger brother and a labradoodle named Mattie.
Chana Devora Levine, 9, loves arts and crafts and spinach! Her nickname is Hermione. She lives in Silver Spring with her mom, dad, two sisters and a brother.
Gabriella Studt, 9, loves music and the swim team. She lives in Columbia with her mom, dad, two older sisters, four cats, two parakeets, a gerbil and a hamster.
Elizabeth Galanti, 9, loves to read and dances ballet. She lives in Herndon with her mom and dad, her older sister and her two brothers who are also 9. (Elizabeth's a triplet).
Isabella Herold, 11, lives to swim, read and especially to write. She lives in Potomac with her two older sisters and a guinea pig named Stanley.
