Fiona Apple will finally release "Extraordinary Machine" nearly a year after 11 tracks from the album were leaked to the Internet. The album now has 12 songs -- one is new, and nine are reworked versions of the leaked tracks -- and will appear Oct. 4 on Epic Records . . .
Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb have reteamed for an album to be titled "Guilty Pleasures," after their 1980 hit album "Guilty," which had three Top 10 hits and won a Grammy for best pop vocal performance by a duo. The new album is due in stores Sept. 20 . . .
50 Cent and Coldplay have been added to an already jam-packed MTV Video Music Awards performance roster that includes Green Day, the Killers, Kanye West and Kelly Clarkson. The awards ceremony airs live from Miami Aug. 28 . . . In other Green Day news, the punk trio was forced to postpone two shows (Sunday's concert in Dayton, Ohio; and Monday's show in Nashville) after a doctor told frontman Billie Joe Armstrong to rest his voice, a label rep said. Green Day's tour is scheduled to continue through Oct. 9.
