The Tail Wagging the Dog

* Debby Cantlon loves animals, so when someone asked her to take in a newborn, orphaned squirrel, she said yes.

Debby didn't realize that her pregnant dog, Mademoiselle Giselle, would want to care for the squirrel even more than Debby did.

Before having puppies last month, Giselle, a black-and-white Papillon with floppy ears, twice pulled the squirrel's cage close to her. After her pups arrived, Giselle encouraged the squirrel, Finnegan, to cuddle up with her and her newborns. Now, everybody acts as if they're one big, happy -- and diverse -- family.

Oh, Baby: It's No. 16

* Speaking of big, happy families: Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar of Arkansas just welcomed Johannah Faith Duggar. Little Johannah is the couple's 16th child.

The family is building a house with nine bathrooms, dormitory-style bedrooms for the girls and boys and four washing machines and four dryers.

The family includes two sets of twins, and each child has a name beginning with the letter "J": Joshua, 17; John David, 15; Janna, 15; Jill, 14; Jessa, 12; Jinger, 11; Joseph, 10; Josiah, 9; Joy-Anna, 8; Jeremiah, 6; Jedidiah, 6; Jason, 5; James, 4; Justin, 2; Jackson Levi, 1; and now Johannah.
