Mana "China" Nishiura, drummer for Japanese pop-punks Shonen Knife, was killed Friday in a car crash in New Jersey. Nishiura was on tour with her other band, DMBQ, when another vehicle struck their van, causing it to spin out of control and roll down an embankment. Nishiura was pronounced dead at the scene. The van's other passengers were treated for moderate injuries at a nearby hospital and released.
