TV dinners. TV classes. And this week you can do your shopping by TV. Thursday starts the Great 53/14 TV Auction to raise money for the two public television channels, and it continues until July 2. With your car in the garage, your shoes off, you can buy jewelry, plants, a winter vacation. You can shop until the wee hours of the morning, or all nigh on July 2. All those television fantasies can come true - lunch with a senator, dinner at a private club, a pot made by Joan Mondale. Just dial the phone and make your bid. It is so easy for you. For the television station, though, it is not so easy. It takes 350 volunteers a night to run the auction, an plenty of celebrities - Art Buchwald as chairman, Mark Russell as auctioneer this year - to keep it lively. They sell little things and big things, new things and old things. On Sunday they feature arts, crafts and antiques. They will sell television sets for when your family gets fed up with your watching nothing but the auction, and a security alarm system to protect your purchases.
