For weeks there's been confusion about the opening date, but now it's confirmed: Universal Studios Florida's official ribbon-cutting is scheduled for June 7 in Orlando, with sneak previews at discounted ticket prices now through June 6. When the 444-acre park gets into full swing, such characters as E.T., King Kong, the "Jaws" shark and Yogi Bear will be in attendance.
