Contest 16: Global Gridiron

Dan Snyder is a happy but restless man. Flush with propelling his Redskins into the playoffs during his first year, he now suffers from Ted Turner disease, and wants to go global. His new goal is to replace worldwide soccer mania with football. To that end, he has bought five key cities around the world from which to launch his new empire. They are in Israel, Sudan, Norway, Russia and Honduras. Name the five cities that will serve as the hub for Dan's Operation Global Gridiron.

Deadline for Contest 16 entries is Friday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. Send entries by e-mail (travel@washpost.com; put the words "Extreme Travel Trivia" in the subject field), fax (202-334-1069) or U.S. mail (Extreme Travel Trivia, Washington Post Travel section, 1150 15th St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20071). Winners, chosen at random from among correct entries, receive a Travel section mug. One entry per person per contest. Employees of The Washington Post are ineligible to win prizes. Entries become property of The Washington Post, which may edit, publish, distribute and republish the information in any form, including paper and electronic media.

RESULTS FROM CONTEST 14: TRAVEL AGENT TO THE STARS

Doh! In a perfect world, you'd be reading about the winner of our Jan. 2 contest in this space. But in a bit of post-millennial madness, we inadvertently cited the Contest 14 deadline as "Friday, Jan. 27" -- neither the intended date nor, sadly, a Friday. So, in the spirit of fair play, we'll be accepting "Travel Agent to the Stars" submissions until 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 28. For contest rules, check out our Web site at www.washingtonpost.com, then read the Feb. 6 issue of the Travel section for the winner.
