A recent boom in the number of new animated feature films and cartoons, aided in part by the proliferation of cable channels and the success of Disney releases, has created many off-camera acting opportunities. While recognizable stars often accept guest-voice spots in animated series, versatile voice actors, usually never seen, are responsible for many of the well-known characters.

Characters: Bonkers D. Bobcat, Detective Piquel and Bulldog (in the series "Bonkers"), Winnie the Pooh and Tigger ("New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"), Darkwing Duck ("Darkwing Duck"), Pete ("Goof Troop"), Monterey Jack and five others ("Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers"), Lurch (animated "Addams Family"), Tazmanian Devil ("Tazmania"), Maurice and Norman ("Marsupilami"), Louie the Ape and Don Karnage ("Tale Spin"), Phil, Ogg and Murray ("Cro"), Morocco Mole ("2 Stupid Dogs"), Mayor Manx ("Swat Kats").

Tidbit: Was a regular on her ventriloquist father's TV programs, "The Paul Winchell Show" and "Winchell Mahoney Time." (Paul Winchell, now a cartoon producer, provided the voice of Dick Dastardly on "Dastardly and Muttley" and Tigger on "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh."
