For the 11th year, Vince Gill will host the Country Music Association Awards, this year set for Wednesday at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. CBS will carry the special at 8.

With this program, Gill, who holds a record 18 CMA Awards, will have the longest continuous run at the host's podium for any awards program.

Alan Jackson has 10 nominations; Toby Keith has eight.

Among scheduled performers are Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, George Strait, Shania Twain, Travis Tritt, Rascal Flatts, Nickel Creek, Martina McBride, Alison Krauss and Union Station, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Keith Urban, Phil Vassar, Darryl Worley and Brad Paisley.

Porter Wagoner and Bill Carlisle will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

About 5,000 members of the CMA nominate and select the winners for the awards.
