The DVD release of last summer's action-packed "Minority Report" offers a rare look at celebrated talent at work, using the most advanced video format available, high definition video.

Director Steven Spielberg likes to be in the forefront of his profession, and for this DreamWorks production he granted the DVD producers unprecedented access to the film's set from the first day of production.

The film was in production for almost two years and brought bonus hours of footage shot specifically for the DVD including Spielberg and Tom Cruise behind the scenes as they worked together for the first time.

In all, the double-disc DreamWorks DVD ($19.95) offers viewers a deeper than usual look at the ins and outs of the movie making process by award-winning filmmakers. The action in the film is brought to life by 481 visual effects shots, more than any Spielberg film in the past 25 years. It is also available on VHS, priced for rental.

In the film, Cruise plays the head of a high-tech Pre-Crime Unit in the District, which has been murder-free for six years. He is accused of a future murder and is given just 36 hours to find out who set him up, or he will be destroyed.
