John Cadigan went from being voted the most popular, athletic and artistic student in grade school to being a college student who was afraid to attend class.
After several diagnoses, it was determined that Cadigan was a victim of paranoid schizophrenia. His battle with the disease is the basis of this 90-minute autobiographical documentary, which is the first to be filmed and directed by someone living with the disease. It chronicles the intimate details of Cadigan's 10-year battle to recover from schizophrenia.
Academy Award-winning documentarian Ira Wohl and Cadigan's sister Katie Cadigan helped make the film.
SOUNDTRACK TO WAR
Wednesday at 9 p.m. on VH1
Many famous musicians have written and performed songs about war and the hardships young Americans endure while defending the nation.
However, filmmaker George Gittoes's documentary takes a look at the not-so-well-known musicians -- the soldiers who experience the war -- as they turn to music for consolation and expression during their service.
The one-hour special, which includes some of the footage featured in Michael Moore's controversial "Fahrenheit 9/11," offers testimonies from American troops.
BRANDY & MR. WHISKERS
Saturday at 8 p.m. on Disney
This new half-hour animated series borrows a familiar premise -- being stranded in a foreign and exotic location -- and throws a bunny and a dog in the mix.
Brandy, the snobbish dog, and Mr. Whiskers, the happy-go-lucky bunny, fall from the cargo hold of a plane and land in an Amazon rain forest. There they meet the region's native creatures: a boa, an otter, twin toucans, a gecko with an army of monkeys and a stick bug.
The show premieres with four back-to-back episodes.
Kaley Cuoco ("8 Simple Rules") voices Brandy.
