The National Weather Service forecasts that the Potomac River stage at Little Falls will fall to 3.4 or 3.5 feet today.

Extended Area Outlook: For Tuesday through Thursday - Outlook calls for fair skies through period except for snow Wednesday.Highs should average near 30, lows in teens; cooler in mountains. Washington's normal temperature range for this time of year is from 43 to 28.

West Virginia: Today - Snow, highs in 20s, lows in mid teens. Snow should be heavy in southeast. Monday - Snow ending, high in 20s.

The National Weather Forecast for Today Snow flurries will form over west portions of the northern Plains. Snow will fall over a large area extending from northeast Texas through the mid Mississippi Valley and Ohio Valley across the lower Great Lakes to the middle Atlantic Coast and much of New England. This will become freezing rain in a band southwar then rain down through the south half of Taxes, across the Gulf of Mexico states and northern Florida through the Atlantic Coast. Temperatures will be very cold over the north and central Rockies, the Plains, the Mississippi Valley, the Ohio Valley and the upper Great Lakes. Elsewhere over the nation, it will continue generally cold.
