The National Weather Forecast for Today - Snow will fall from New England throughout the lower Great Lakes, the Ohio Valley and the central Appalachians. Rain will cover the Carolinas and the coastal plains of Virginia through New Jersey. Snow furries will dot the upper Great Lakes and snow will reach from northern Colorado across the northern Rockies and Idaho. Rain or showers will [WORD ILLEGIBLE] Washington. Elsewhere, except for cloudy skies in the mid Mississippi Valley and the southern Appalachians and sunny skies in the southwest, partly cloudy condition will dominate.
