The National Weather Forecast for Today - Snow will fall in northern New England and northern New York with rain across the lower Great Lakes and snow in the upper Great Lakes, the northern Plains west through the northern Rockies. Rain will dampen the Pacific northwest and the northern intermountain region. Scattered showers will be over much of Florida and southeast Georgia and there is a chance of rain over the north parts of mid Mississippi Valley. Elsewhere, from California through the south and central Rockies, it will be sunny while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy.Cool weather will continue from northern New England across the Great Lakes, the Ohio Valley west through the northern Rockies.
