Fairfax County vehicle licenses are now on sale throughout the county.

The decals may be purchased from noon to 6 p.m. Weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at the following fire stations through Apr. 16;: Annamdale, Baileys Crossroads, Burke, Dunn Loring, Woodlawn, Franconia, Greater Springfield, Jefferson and McLean.

They can also be purchased at those same hours from the Centreville, Lorton, Penn Daw and Annandale No. 2 fire stations through Mar. 31 and at the Great Falls, Mount Vernon and Chantilly fire stations from Apr. 1 through Apr. 16.

Decals will be sold at the North Post, Building 1903, at Fort Belvoir, from Apr. 1 to Apr. 16, noon to 6:30 p.m. weekdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vehicle license are also available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at these regular locations: 4100 Chain Bridge Rd., Fairfax; 6210 N. Kings Hwy., Groveton; 1437 Balls Hill Rd., McLean; and 6121 Franconia Rd., Franconia.

The licenses are also available at the following temporary locations weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Apr. 15: 6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale; 6140 Rolling Rd., Springfield; and 11415 Isaac Newton Square South, Reston.

The 1977 fees are: $20 for cars and recreation vehicles less than 4000 pounds; $25 for those 4,001 pounds or more; $15 for trucks less than 4,000 pounds; $22 for those 6,501 to 11,000 pounds; $25 for those weighing 11,001 pounds or more; $8 for motorcycles and $1 for all military vehicles.

Decals must be displayed by April 15.
