Marianne Miller, 22, daughter of retired Army Col. and Mrs. John M. Miller of Alexandria, died Tuesday at the home after a long illness.

Death has attributed to chronic respiratory failure resulting from radiation fibrosis that had developed some years after she was treated for Hodgekins disease.

Miss Miller was a fourth-year student a the University of Virginia in Charlotteeville, where she was majoring in German. She had attended classes until several months ago.

Born at Valley Forge Army Hospital in pennsylvania, she was valedictorian of her class at Annandale High School in 1973. She was active in the Keyettes, the Student Advisory Council, the German Club and the Junior and Senior Honor Societies.

Miss Miller also received the Good Citizens Award in 1973 from the Fairfax chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was active in the Young Life Club in high school and also at the University of Virginia. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Springfield.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by three brothers, Army Capt. Jerry W. Miller, of Tripler Amry Medical Center, Hawaii, John C., of Richmond, and Robert M., of Charlottesville, and her grandmother, Jessie Miller, of Denver, Colo.
