The National Weather Forecast for Today - Showers will reach from the Pacific northwest into the Idano Panhandle. Showers and occasional thunderstorms will extend across the central Plains through the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, over the upper and central Great Lakes and across in central Appalachians to the Atlantic Coast from the Carolinas through Florida. Temperatures will be mild along the north and central Atlantic Coast but warm through the remainder of the coast states and Ohio Valley through the southern portions of the nation from the Gulf Coast states through Southern California.
