STJoseph H. Neitzey, 77, a retired accountant at Catholic University, died of cancer Monday at Providence Hospital. He retired in 1970 after 30 years of service with the university.

Born in Washington, Mr. Neitzey was a life long resident of the area. he had lived in Berwyn Heights for the last five years.

he served with the Marine Corps in Europe in World War I and returned here to complete his schooling, graduating from Gonzaga High School after the war.

Mr. Neitzey was a member of American Legion Post No. 31, Council 417 of the Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He was a former member of the Men's Club of St. John's College High School.

He is survived by six children: Mary N. Daly, of Hartford, Conn., Joseph H. Jr., of little Compton, R.I., George F., of Greendale, Wis., Jane N. Fahey, of Laurel; Frank L., of Waldorf, and Margaret N. Godson, of Rock Hill, S.C.; fice sisters, Anne Hayden, of Avondale, Md., Mary A. McMahon, of Gaithersburg; Alice Cannon, of Reno; Dorothy LeRoy, of Washington, and Sister Raymunda,O.P., of White Plains, N.Y., and 21 grandchildren.
