Extended Area Forecast for Saturday through Monday: Fair through the period. Highs will be from the mid 80s to the mid 90s, lows from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. Normal Washington temperatures for the period are a high of 89 and a low 70.

The National Weather Forecast for today - Showers and thundershowers will scatter from eastern portions of the southern plateau through the southern two-thirds of the Rockies, across the central Plains and portions of the middle Mississippi valley, over the Ohio valley through the Appalachians and Gulf states as well as on Atlantic Coast from New England into the Carolinas.
