The Publick Playhouse, Prince George's County's showcase for community performing arts, is now accepting applications for rental of the Playhouse for the fall season.

Nonprofit performing groups in both Prince George's County and the Washington area can rent the Playhouse at nominal rates for their presentations between September and January, 1978. Many administrative and support services are included with the rental of the facility, which is owned and operated by the Department of Parks and Recreation of Prince George's County.

Some of the administrative services include the printing of programs, operation of the Playhouse box office, and publicity of all events. The Playhouse will also have access to local ticket distribution services and plans to implement its own phone charge card system for ticket purchases by the Fall season.

The Playhouse also offers technical assistance and consultation to the performing groups. Those services include a theater technician on duty for all performances and rehearsals to assist the group with lighting, sound and set construction. All of the lights and sound equipment and the technical services are available to the group at no extra charge, and all rentals include a free rehearsal.

Groups from Prince George's County receive first priority on bookings, but the Playhouse is also available to performing groups from the entire Washington metropolitan area. For information on rates, available dates for performances, and other information, call Dough Herbert at 277-1711, or write for information to the prince George's Publick Playhouse, 5445 Landover Rd., Hyattsville, Md. 20784.
