West Virginia: Today - Partly cloudy with chance of rain, highs in mid 80s to low 90s, lows in mid 60s to low 70s. Wednesday - Mostly sunny and humid, highs in mid 60s to low 90s. Chance of afternoon and evening showers.

Atlantic Ocean Beaches from Cape May to Cape Hatteras: Today and Wednesday - Humid, highs in 80s. Water tempertures should range from low 70s in north to near 80 in south.

The Council of Governments' Air Quality Index for yesterday showed the high reading in the Washington area during the 3 to 4 p.m. period was 115 for the sollutant, photochemical oxidants. Index values between 100 and 249 indicate very unhealthy air quality. When the index exceeds 100 the air is considered very unhealthy and individuals with lung, heart and eye ailments are urged to restrict their activity. The forecast for today indicates that the air quality will improve somewhat.

The National Weather Service forecasts the Potomac River stage at Little Falls should remain near 2.7 feet through today.
