The Rev. Dr. John H. Tiejem was expelled from the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, headquartered in St. Louis, for teaching false doctrine. The charges against him were upheld by the Rev. Dr. Theodore F. Nickel, Missouri Synod fourth vice president. He said his ruling was based on Dr. Tietjem's statements indicating that "Adam and Eve might not have been real people and that the Holy Scriptures contain errors."

The Rev. Dr. Mark . Anschutz will deliver his first sermon as the new sector of Christ Church in Alexandria on Oct. 30.Dr. Anschutz, 33, has been sector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Worcester, Mass., since 1971. His father, the Rev. Dr. John R. Anschutz is the retired rector of Christ Church Georgetown. The new rector is a graduate of Western High School.

The Rev. Stoddon G. N. King will he installed as minister of Pilgrim Church. United Church of Christ, Wheaton, at 8 p.m. Sunday. His father, the Rev. Dr. Harold G. S. King minister of Wayzata Community Church, Wayzata, Minn., will preach the sermon. Mr. KIng has been associate minister of the Plymouth Church of Shaker Heights United Church of Christ, Shaker Heights, Ohio.

The Rev. Jack Grimm has been installed as the new pastor of Central Raptist Church, Gaithrsburg. For the past three years, Mr. Grimm has been a full-time evangelist in Chattaneoga, and problem director for the television ministry of evangelist Darrell Dunn.

Delores R. Leckey has been named executive director of the new secretarial to the laity of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops in Washington. She is former director of Extension theology at De Sales Hall School of Theology, Hyattsville.
