Deferred for more information the application of John M. Ellison Jr. for a variance from the use provisions to allow a flat at 133 Hamilton St. NW.

Granted the application of Exxon Company, USA, for a special exception to permit modifications to a gasoline station at 2125 Alabama Ave. SE.

Granted with an exception the application of the Associated General Contractors of America, et al., for a special exception to permit construction of an office building and for a variance from the use provisions to allow a savings and loan association in that building at 1925 E St. NW. A further hearing was set on the size of a proposed roof structure.

Granted the application of Matthew M. Witenstein for a variance from the lot area requirements to permit erection of a single family dwelling at 5730 Utah Ave. NW.

Denied the application of Portia C. Bundy for a variance from the use provisions to permit a flat at 1021 Hamlin St. NE.

The Board of Zoning Appeals also took the following actions on these post-hearing appeals:

Deferred the application of Kenmore Joint Venture for a special exception. The applicant sought modification of an order granting permission to continue a parking lot providing accessory off-street parking for Kenmore Apartment tenants at Legation Street and Chevy Chase Parkway NW.

Approved the request of Richard J. Donohoe and Barney Dreyfuss, trustees, to reconsider a special exception to continue the operation of a parking lot at the rear of 1855 Wisconsin Ave. NW. Parking for three years on the property was approved.

Denied reconsideration on a motion of the Dupont Circle Citizens Association for reconsideration and reversal of the application of William Parr for a special exception to establish a social service center by Speicla Approaches in Juvenile Assistance at 1743 18th St. NW.

Approved with modifications the request for modification of plans in the application of 4710 Associates, for a special exception to establish an accessory parking lot at 3227 Chesapeake St. NW.

Took no action on the request for modification of roof structure plans in the application of Washington Medical Center, Inc., for an approval of roof structures at 1850 K St. NW.

Approved with modifications a request for modification of plans in the application of Carl S. Gewirz and Elizabeth W. Dugan, for a special exception. The applicants sought to have a site plan reviewed for the development of two flats and one semi-detached flat at 4433-4437 MacArthur Blvd. NW.

Deferred a request for reconsideration and rehearing in the application of Darja Pagel to establish an institution of higher learning, Goddard College, and for a variance from the parking requirements at 1916 New Hempshire Ave. NW.
