Denied reconsideration of the motion of Philip R. Melkye of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg for a special exception for a change in the non-conforming use of a chancery to a four unit apartment house and law offices at 2210 Massachussetts Ave. NW in the basement, first, second and third floors,
Discussed the board's reasons and pertinent sections of the zoning regulations applied in arriving at the board's decision in the appeal of the Citizens Association of Georgetown from the decision of the zoning administrator that a brick kiln may be located in the sub-standard rear yard of the non-conforming structure at 2605 P St. NW.
Granted for two years with conditions, the application of the estate of William Cohen to continue parking on lot 847 and part of lot 846 and establish parking on part of lot 846 at 2318-24 G St. NW.
Deferred for a report from the Department of Environmental Services, the application of Edward B. Harry, Lawrence W. Harry and Franklin L. Derrick trustees of the Estate of John B. Harry, for a special exception to establish a parking lot for Safeway store at 4840 42nd St. NW.
Deferred for a report from the Department of Transportation, the application of the Emmanuel Babtist Church for a special exception to permit an accessory parking lot for the church at 2406-2412 Aimger PLSE.
Granted the application of the American Oil Company for a special exception to modify an existing gasoline service previously approved by the board at 2501 Martin, Luther King, Jr. Ave. SE.
Granted office use on the first floor and denied office use on the second floor in the application of Micheal D. Lange for a special exception to extend a non-conforming office use from the first to the second floor at 304 Independence Ave, SE, and a special exception to change a non-conforming use from a beauty salon to an office and extend that office use to the second floor at 306 Independence Ave. SE, or in the alternative a variance from the use provisions to permit an office on the second floor at 306 Independence Ave. SE.
Granted the amended application of the Associated General Contractors of America, et al, for a special exception to permit construction of an office building and a variance to construct a roof stucture over 18 feet 6 inches in height at 1925 E St. NW.
Granted the application of Luddie M. King for a variance from the lot occupancy and rear yard requirements to allow an addition to a row dwelling which is non-conforming structure at 1259 U St. SE.
Granted the application of Helen David for a special exception to change a non-conforming use from a barber shop and dry cleaning agency to general offices on the first floor of 203 8th St. SE and 725 Independence Ave. SE.
Granted the application of George F. Warner, Edwin F. Warner and Francis Howard for a special exception to extend non-conforming apartment hosue uses from the first and second floors to the basements to permit the basements to be used as apartments at 3319, 3335, 3339, 3343 and 3347 Brothers PLSE.

Deferred until plans are submitted, the application of Albert Himmelfarb, Ada Naiman and Frances WolfM trustess, for a special exception to change of a non-conforming use from a retail men's clothing, haberdashery, tailoring, cleaning agency and uniform processing establishment on the first floor to a restuarant seating sixty persons at 2145 G St. NW.
Denied reconsideration of an application by the Stigmatine Fathers for a special exception to establish in institution of higher learning (National Open University) at 1326 Quincy St. NE.
Denied reconsideration of the application of David G. HArris for variances from the prohibition agaisnt enlarging a structure devoted to a non-conforming use from the rear yard requirements and from the lot occupancy requirements topermit an addition to a health club at 413 L St. NW.
