The following final actions were taken by the D.C. Zoning Commission at its Dec. 8 public meeting:
Scheduled a public hearing to be held on March 6, 1978 in the District Building to consider new rules of practice and procedure for the Zoning Commission to replace existing rules adopted in 1972.
Scheduled a public hearing to be held on January 23, 1978 in The District Building to consider zoning map and regulation changes to implement the foreign missions and international agencies element of the comprehensive Plan adopted by the National Capital Planning Commission.
Approved a planned unit development and zoning map change unit development zoning map change to allow construction of 35 detached, semi-detached and row houses on property owned by W.C. and A.N. Miller at Massachusetts Avenue and Van Ness Streets NW.
Granted preliminary approval to a planned unit development and zoning map change to allow constrution of a new French Chancery at 3905 Reservoir Rd. NW, across from the georgetown University Hospial/Medical Center complex.
Approved a change to the zoning regulations to define sexually oriented business establishments, to allow them only in the C-3-B and C-4 downtown business zones, and to further retrict their location within such zones.
Determined not a adopt a zoning map for the Southwest urban renewal area.
Scheduled a public hearing to be held on March 13, 1978 in the community to consider zoning map changes fro m R-5-A (apartment zone )to R-2 (semi-dettached zone) and R-3 (rowhouse zone) for Old Anacostia area.
Denied without a hearing an application to change the zoning map from R-5-D (high density apartment zone) to C-3-B (high density commercial zone) for property located on the east of 22nd St. between K ans L Streets NW.
Scheduled a public hearing to be held on March 23, 1978 to consider a zoning map change from R-1-B (detached single family residential zone) for property located on the northeast side of MacArthur Boulvard, southwest of Cathedral Avenue NW.
Scheduled a public hearing to be held on Ferbruary 23, 1978 inthe District Building to consider a change in the zoning regulations to limit conversions of rooming houses to apartments in the R-4 (row house and conversions to apartments) district.
Denied reconsideration of decision to approve planned unit development to allow construction of an office building for the World Bank at 19th and G Streets NW.
