The National Weather Forecast for today - Rain will range from the Pacific Coast into the Plateau, with snow likely in the mountains and in the northern and central Rockies. Snow flurries are possible from the northern plains into the upper Great Lakes. There is a chance of rain from Tennessee through the Ohio Valley and central Great Lakes, with snow flurries possible into western New England. Temperatures will be cold from the Gulf Coast and Florida through the Carolinas and Virginia into southern New England. It will also be cold from the Pacific Coast to the western edge of the Plains. Most of the remainder of the country will be mild.
