Retired Colonel GEOFFREY R. FORD, 60, Deputy Director of Licenses and Permits for Prince Georges County, Md., died Tuesday, January 24, of Cancer, at DeWitt Army Hospital, Ft. Belvoir, Va.; born in Brighton, England, of a British Royal Navy family, he was a graduate of the Unversity of Maryland.During his 28 years of military service Col. Ford served in The Philippines, Japan, The Pentagon, and as Common of the Civil Engineering Squadrons, at Mather A.F.C., Calif., Tan Son Nhut AB, Viet Nam, and Scott AFB, lit. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Gerald and Paul Ford; three daughters, Lynn Haas, Pamela Porter and Jacklyn Ford; his sister, Atholl DiSesa and one grandchildren. Mass will be at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 7600 Old Keene Mill rd. Springfield, Va. at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28. The family will receive friends at The Demaine Springfield Annandale Chapel, 5308 Backlick rd., Springfield, on Sunday, January 29, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Military Services will be at Ft. Myer Chapel, Ft. Myer Va., at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 30, with interment in Arlington National Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made by contributions to the American Cancer Society.
