Cynthia Jarvis, Associate Minister of Westminster Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 1978. She was born July 29, 1911 in Mansfield, Ohio to Ralph H. & Edith Crane Arnold. Graduated from the College of Wooster, '33, Master's degree in 1935 from the Western Reserve University, School of Applied Social Work, Cleveland. Member of the Truro Episcopal Church, Fairfax, Va. Lived in Wooster since 1973. Surviving are husband, Halsey Wilbur; daughter, Belsey Wilbur of Mansfield; son, Peter of the home. Spending her youth in Wilkinsburg, Penna., she worked in Brasnear Settlement House in Cleveland & Kingsley Settlement House in Pittsburgh. She also served on the faculty of Applied Social Services Department of the University of Pittsburgh. In 1944-1945, while on the National Board of the Y.W.C.A., she traveled, eslabishing new programs for girls in U.S.A. With her husband, whom she married in 1942, she lived in Hong Kong, Fairfax, Va., Israel, Iran & Laos. Her husband was an officer of the Agency for International Development. Mrs. Wilbur taught in American schools in Iran & Laos; in Laos she was the president of the American Women's Club, which engaged in cultural & fund-raising activities for local charities.
