The National Weather Forecast for today - Rain will extend from northern California to Washington State and eastward into the northern half of the Plateau, with snow likely in the higher elevations. Snow is also likely from the northern Rockies through the northern plains, the upper Mississippi Valley, the Great Lakes, the Gulf Coast area to Floria and southern Georgia. Mild temperatures are in store from the northern half of the Pacific Coast into the northern half of the Rockies, and over portions of the south Pacific Coast states and the southern Plateau.
