Wind will be from the northeast at up to 20 knots today, shifting to from the northwest at from 18 to 28 knots tonight. Waves in ice-free waters will be less than 2 feet.

Extended Area Forcast for Thursday through Saturday: Fair through the period except for a chance of snow on Friday. Highs will be from the 30s to the low 40s, lows from the teens to the mid 20s. Normal Washington temperatures for the period are a high of 48 and a low of 30.

West Virginia: Today - light snow, highs mid 20s to 30s. Wednesday - snow flurries, highs from the mid 20s to the mid 30s.

The National Weather Forecast for today - Rain will fall over southern Georgia, - Florida, South Carolina and eastern North Carolina. Light snow will reach from northern Georgia across western North Carolina through New York state and the Ohio Valley. There is a chance of snow over Michigan, Tennessee, New England and eastern Wisconsin. Rain will dampen western Washington. Fog will cover the valleys of eastern Washington. Elsewhere sunny or partly cloudy skies will prevail. Mild temperatures will continue over most of Montana, western Dakota, the Pacific Northwest and northern and souther California. The remainder of the country from the Pacific through the Rockies will have near seasonable temperatures. Almost all of the rest of the nation will be quite cold, with very cold weather over the lower Ohio and the middle and lower Mississippi valley.
