The National Weather Forecast for today - Snow flurries will be scattered over the Great Lakes region and the upper Ohio Valley and northeastern New York. Rain will dampen central Florida extended northward into the Atlantic coastal states across New Jersey and than westward through West Virginia, and Kentucky. There is a chance of light rain over New England. Scattered rain will fall in Washington and northern Idaho. Fair skies will prevail elsewhere. Mild temperatures will continue on Florida and from California over the southern Rockies and from the Pacific Northwest across the northern Intermountain Region. When the index exceeds 100 the air is considered very unhealthy and individuals with lung, heart and eye allments are urged to restrict their activity. The forecast for today indicates that the air quality will improve.
