Landscaping and storm water plans approved in the application of Edward B Harry, lawrence W. Harry and Franklin L. Derrick, trustees of the estate of John B. Harry, for a special exception to establish a parking lot for a Safeway store at 4840 42nd St. NW.

Relocation plans approved in the application of Theodore R. Hagans for a special exception for prescribed lot area and width and for a variance from the prohibition against creating a lot that does not conform to the zoning regulations to convert seven apartment buildings into fourteen dwellings not meeting the floor area ratio and lot occupancy requirements at 2901-2919 Denver St. and 2601-2607 30th St. SE.

Granted the application of the Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church for a special exception to use an existing church parking lot for parking by students and faculty of American University at 3401 Nebraska Ave. NW.

Deferred pending site inspection by the board the application of Paul S. and Sussan Au Allan for variances from the percentage of lot occupancy and rear yard requirements to permit a rear deck at 2009 Q ST. NW.

Granted the application of Capitol Hill Associates and Vincent Oliveri for variances from the use provisions and the rear yard lot occupancy and height and story requirements to permit an addition to the National Republican Center at 310 1st St. SE.

Granted the application of Carl Comley, et al, for variances from the prohibition against locating a parking space less than 10 feet from a dwelling and less than three feet from a side lot line to permit a parking space in a side yard at 1534 15th St. NW.

Granted the application of Flour Mill Limited Partnership for a special exception to permit more than one roof structure on a residential-retail office building at 1110 Potamac St. NW.

Set further hearing on question of authority of applicant to file application in the application of Eleanor D. Ditzen, et al, for a special exception to permit a private school (the Washington International School) and for a special exception to reduce the required parking by less than 25 percent and for variance from the driveway width requirement at 3100 Macomb and/or 3029 Klingle streets NW (the Tregaron estate).

Denied the application of John B. Howerton for a variance from the prohibition against locating an open parking space in front of a dwelling and within 10 feet of a dwelling to permit an open parking space in front of 3306 prospect St. NW.

Granted the application of Smiths and Father-Upton Street Inc., for variances from the side yard and parking requirements to permit the construction of a single family dwelling at 2814 Upton St. NW.

Granted the application of Thomas W. Wehman for a variance from the prohibition against creating a lot that does not conform to the Zoning Regulations to convert an apartment building with six units into two single family dwellings not meeting the lot width, lot area and lot occupancy requirements at 1116-1118 F St. NE.

Granted the application of Cumbari Associates for a special exception to allow subdivision and a new residential development consisting of 15 units at 4300-4328 9th St. SE.

Deferred the application of the National Mortgage Company for a special exception to permit a new residential development of 30 units and for a variance from the open court requirements at 1600-1632 and 1700-1724 Gainesville St. SE.

Denied the application of William A. McNair for a variance from the use provisions to permit a litho arts and printing shop on the first floor and basement at 1928 4th St. NE.

Granted the application of Papermill Associates for a special exception to permit more than one roof structure on an apartment house-office building at 3251 K St. NW.

Granted for three years the application of Arnold L. Yochelson for a special exception to allow a temporary community service center (Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc.) including accessory use of the garage at 1308 V St. SE.

Granted for three years the application of Herbert M. Levengard for a special exception to continue use of a parking lot at 705 6th St. NW.

Set for further hearing on size of parking spaces the application of Oliver T. Carr, Jr. and George H. Beuchert, Jr., trustees, for a special exception to allow parking in excess of the maximum specified at 2555 Pennsylvania Ave. NW.

Denied a petition for rehearing/reconsideration of the application of Stephen L. Mowbray for variance from the lot area, lot occupancy, rear yard, off-street parking and front yard requirements to permit the conversion of an accessory building to a dwelling, creating two principal buildings on one lot at 1340 Corcoran St. NW.

Denied the motion of the intervenor to reopen the record and conduct further hearing in the appeal of the Citizens Association of Georgetown, concerning the decision of the zoning administrator that a brick kiln may be located in the sub-standard rear yard, of the non-conforming structure at 2605 P St. NW.
